An Australian blogger who goes by the name ‘The Young Mummy’ has shared her birth experience with followers – by snapchatting every second of her labour.
Sophie Cachia, who has been keeping a blog about her pregnancy journey, shared video footage of her labour for her followers to see.
“According to the hospital I am in labour everybody. Very, very early days yet… I’m having contractions every two to four minutes,” Cachia shared at 10am on Saturday morning.
“So this is a new experience for both us because we don’t know what to do or when to go to hospital.”
Sophie already has one child, two-year-old Bobby, with her husband Jaryd – but admitted the second birth was a dramatically different experience from the first.
“This is such a different experience to last time when I got induced, and you go from 0-100 in seconds,” she said of the slow moving labour.
“It’s such a slow process, I could literally still be doing this tomorrow.”
After 12 hours of labour, Sophie updated fans that she had taken an epidural – and joked that she would not be having more kids after this little one was born.
The 26-year-old blogger has kept her followers up to date with her pregnancy journey, from her living room couch to the hospital bed.
And on Sunday, Sophie shared the happy news that she’d given birth to baby Betty – a little sister for her two-year-old son.
“Betty Cachia, you complete me,” she wrote on Instagram.
Sophie gave birth to her little girl at The Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne over the weekend.
