Each time I rang my friend her telephone was engaged. Fearing she may have had a fall, I rang the phone company for my friend’s daughter’s number, which is not listed. It was unavailable to them. The telephonist suggested I try ringing another helpline, which I did. They said they didn’t have access to the number either and suggested I write her a letter!
