oy granddaughter (12) was doing her maths homework and I was impressed by her knowledge of the difficult work. I said she would have to be a maths teacher when she grows up, but she replied she wanted to be a lawyer or a politician. However, when her sister Katie (2) grows up, she said, “she’s going to be a puppy!”

Snooze, you lose

I was on the phone speaking to my four-year-old granddaughter and she was telling me how excited she was that I was going to take her to the ballet, Sleeping Beauty. Imagine my laughter when she said, “Nana, I hope she doesn’t sleep through all of it!”
