For the past couple of years, the main trend on the bridesmaid dress front has been uniform colour in varying styles – the classic ‘multiway.’
And while this is great for bridesmaids to make their look their own, or adjust their dress to suit their shape, it’s hardly revolutionary.
But a new trend emerging this 2017 is quickly gaining popularity on the likes of Pinterest and Instagram, and we’re totally on board with it.
While it might not be traditional for bridesmaids to wear floral frocks, there’s been a 50 per cent spike in flowery, more bohemian style bridesmaid dresses – and even mismatched ones.
One bridal party pin that is getting plenty of attention shows four gorgeous bohemian brides, all in different maxi dresses, with their more traditional bride next to them.
And according to Pinterest’s Wedding Report, these pins are gathering steam from brides to be looking for a slightly alternative look for their nearest and dearest.
Other trends to note were couples getting wedding band tattoos rather than rings, and grooms in blue suits are also on the rise.
