Minimalist Christmas decor

If you’re dreaming of a white Christmas, let it show through a minimalist décor.

Break with tradition this year and try something a bit different – why not theme your tree to suit the interior of your home? This monochrome style would certainly work at my house!

Whenever I decorate a room, black and white is often where I’ll start. They’re the easiest shades to work with and form a great canvas for you to introduce splashes of colour through great accessories if you want to brighten things up.

If you’re opting for a faux tree, they no longer have to be strictly green. A white tree looks magical and festive, while a black tree is a more daring, dramatic alternative.

Add silver embellishments to this look for that wintery sparkle, but if this is too minimalist for your tastes, introduce a vibrant hue instead for effect. Blues, turquoises, purples and pinks have become popular Christmas choices and look stunning on a plain tree.

Let your imagination run wild!
