How to: Make a natural moth repellent

Rid your woollens of moths without a single moth-ball.

If your woollen clothes are packed away, there is always the worry about what condition they will be in come winter. But this repellent should prevent moths eating holes in them.

This is a little different to the last moth-repellent recipe I gave as it uses tobacco, which is quite an expensive ingredient these days.

If you have a friend who smokes, they might give you a teaspoon.

Then fill a muslin or cotton sachet with the following:

  • 1 tsp dried lavender

  • 1 tsp fresh rosemary

  • 1 tsp fresh mint

  • 1 tsp tobacco

  • 1 tsp peppercorns or cloves

  • 3 tbsp cedarwood chips

If you don’t have all of the ingredients, just use what you can.
