These prettily decorated wooden spoons make great gifts. Use them for serving your favourite foods, or simply as beautiful decorations for your kitchen.
Materials to make painted wooden spoons
Materials:
Wooden spoons (I got mine from a discount store)
Masking tape
Paint – I used Resene colours Milk Punch (white), Romantic (peach), Geraldine (pink), Morning Glory (green) and Riptide (blue)
Paint brushes.
DIY for painted spoons
Use masking tape to mark off sections of the handle of your wooden spoons that you don’t want to paint.
Apply two layers of paint to the bare sections of the spoons, allowing the first layer to dry thoroughly before applying the next. I stood mine in a dish rack to dry.
Allow spoons to dry overnight, then carefully
peel off the masking tape.
