Every home should have a little bottle of the best quality lavender oil you can find.
It has so many uses because it is a natural antibiotic, antiseptic, antidepressant, sedative and detoxifier, which promotes healing and prevents scarring.
So here are some wonderful uses you will find for that gorgeous smelling little bottle.
1. Apply to burns
Put two drops of lavender essential oil on a burn and the skin will return to normal in a few days without blistering or scarring.
2. Use to help a headache
Place one drop on the temples and rub in to bring relief.
3. Deter mosquitos
Dab it on a ribbon, a handkerchief or a cotton wool ball and place it near your bed as you sleep. You can also tie a ribbon with lavender oil dripped onto it around your ankle and wrists to deter mosquitos.
4. Moth repellent

5. Treating minor cuts and grazes
Add a few drops of lavender oil to a small bowl of warm water and bathe the area.
6. Cleaning fridges, tiles and tables
Sprinkle lavender oil onto a warm, damp sponge when wiping. It not only smells lovely but the antiseptic effect kills germs.
7. Travel companion
When travelling, before getting into a strange bed, sprinkle with lavender oil to deter any bugs. The calming aroma will also help you sleep.
8. Cold relief
If you’re feeling poorly, hop into a hot bath to which you have added 10 drops of lavender oil, 10 drops of peppermint oil and 10 drops of eucalyptus oil. The combined oils will help your immune system.
