Here’s how to get the perfect feline flick!
The sultry cat-eye is a classic for elongating and enhancing your peepers, but it can be one of the trickier makeup looks to pull off!
This is one technique you won’t want to rush, but the results are worth it – a cat-eye looks great on just about everyone and helps to ‘lift’ the whole eye area.
Get your liner looking just right with these foolproof tips and tricks:
Use a business card
If your ‘flicks’ tend to go wobbly, you can cheat a little by using the edge of a business card to steady the lines.
Take an old business card and place it gently at the outer corner of your eye, so the edge makes a line from your eyelid to your temple.
Next, take your eyeliner of choice and draw a line starting from the inner corner of your eyelid, going out towards the outer corner of your eye and along the side of the card.
Follow the dotted line
You can practise drawing in your cat-eye with the help of a soft pencil liner.
Start by following the natural curve of your upper eyelid, then take the tip of the pencil and draw three small dots: one at the outer corner of your eyelashes, another where you want the flick to end and one right in the middle of the first two dots, forming an outline of your wing.
Take your liquid liner and trace over the pencil, connecting the dots to create your cat-eye flick.
