She shot to stardom thanks to her iconic role as Wonder Woman on the beloved 1970s TV series, and now Lynda Carter is set to make another heroic comeback on season two of Supergirl.
The actress has been confirmed to play the President of the United States on the hit show, which stars Melissa Benoist as the young superhero.

Excecutive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg had previously teased an upcoming appearance for Lynda on the show, revealing she would be their dream casting for the role of president. However, scheduling issues meant the actress was unable to appear on the show until now.
At the time, co-showrunner Ali Adler told The Hollywood Reporter it would be “incredible” and a “true honour” to welcome Lynda into the cast.
The 64-year-old actress will make her first appearance as a guest star in episode three. This isn’t Lynda’s first brush with the Superman franchise, however – back in 2007, she appeared in one episode of the TV series Smallville, which followed a young Clark Kent growing into his powers.
Her last appearance on the small screen was in 2013, when she played herself on Two and a Half Men.
Supergirl is set to return to TV from October.
