What is seasons 1 and 2 of The Santa Clauses about?
Tim Allen returns as Scott Calvin in The Santa Clauses.
After being Santa Claus for nearly thirty years, Scott Calvin (TIm Allen) is back in the sleigh and is jolly as ever. But as Christmas declines in popularity, so does his Santa magic.
Scott struggles to keep up with the demands of the job, as well as being there for his family.
Upon discovering there is a way to retire from his post, Scott considers stepping down as Santa Claus and finding a worthy successor so that he can become a better father and husband. However, his retirement plans are thwarted in season one, and although Scott and his family save Christmas, in season two, Scott turns his focus towards training his son Cal and fondly known as ‘Buddy’ (Austin Kane) to eventually take over the “family business” as Santa Claus.
Who is cast in season 2 of The Santa Clauses?
Tim Allen returns to reprise his role as Scott Calvin/Santa Claus in The Santa Clauses, joined Elizabeth Mitchell as Scott’s wife Carol/Mrs Claus, and Austin Kane as Cal Calvin Claus (Buddy).
Series two also features recent characters, including Elizabeth Allen-Dick (Tim Allen’s real-life daughter) and Eric Stonestreet as Magnus Antas, aka The Mad Santa.
