A cheating scandal has ripped through The Block Australia!

What really happened between Brad and Kylie...

The final week of The Block Australia is the most explosive yet, with one feuding couple packing their bags, while another pair makes an unexpected return!

Kylie Baker is struggling to move on after hearing her husband Brad tell fellow contestant Mimi Melperio, “You know I’d follow your OnlyFans.” Considering the flirty comment a betrayal, she leaves the show and returns home with her hubby in tow.

It’s unknown whether the controversial Cairns couple will return for Sunday’s auction, with The Block’s executive producer Julian Cress saying, “I don’t think Brad knows Kylie enough to predict whether she’ll come. They have a pretty volatile relationship.”

Meanwhile, host Shelley Craft says, “Brad and Kylie had a roller-coaster ride. It’s been hard to watch. They’ve been through a lot in their relationship. I was sad that they didn’t seem strong enough to push through to the end. I don’t know if they’re coming back for auction day.”

If hairdresser Kylie, 37, does show up, an insider tells Woman’s Day viewers will be “surprised by the Kylie they will see. She’ll be putting on a brave face and trying to rise above the drama. Kylie has had a full makeover and has been really looking after herself. Think ‘revenge dress’ kind of feels!”

But Brad had better be on his best behaviour! The source adds, “Back at The Block is where Kylie will be watching him. If he does anything silly, that could be all the evidence Kylie needs.”

Julian adds, “Brad will have to tiptoe around and make sure he’s not in the firing line.”

Kylie has reportedly told friends she’s “shocked” at how much context The Block has edited out in their coverage of the alleged betrayal. “They haven’t been showing the real story,” says our insider. They claim that the show skipped over much of plumber Brad, 32, flirting with Adelaide restaurant manager Mimi, 28.

“Kylie feels surprised by what the producers have chosen to put to air. But what the producers have chosen not to show has also left her feeling surprised. It has been very confusing.”

The source reveals that the mum-of-four isn’t “ready to talk about what actually happened, not just because Brad’s flirty behaviour reflects badly on him, but also because of her reaction”, adding, “Kylie’s priorities have always been with her children.”

There’s certainly no love lost between Kylie and the rest of the cast, especially Mimi! When asked about Mimi by a close friend, Kylie responded, “We don’t mention her name.”

Of her castmates, she apparently only trusts Paige Beechey. Our insider reports, “They talk most days. They share the same thoughts about the people behind the show and they’ve been each other’s support network. They’re also in similar situations with their partners. The Block put their relationships under pressure, and there’s still a lot of work to do to address it.”

Kylie is shown breaking down to her mother on camera, declaring, “How little I mean to him is really sad.” But behind the scenes, we’re told, “Brad and Kylie are very much together,” although there is “some tension”.

Asked if Kylie regrets doing The Block, our source says, “The whole reason for doing the show has always been about affording her family a better life, but with noticeably less interest in House 4 over the other homes, Kylie has a sinking feeling that this whole experience will be a waste of time.”

A friend of hers adds, “At this stage, The Block hasn’t paid off for the sacrifice she made to be away from her children. But I know Kylie is still holding out for a positive outcome. How the auction goes will define how Kylie feels about her time on The Block. I believe Brad and Kylie could fall apart if they make no money.”

Meanwhile, Perth insurance specialist Paige, 27, and her fiancé, carpenter Jesse Maguire, 29, are back on The Block after shockingly quitting the show in week five, finally meeting Sydney sisters Maddy, 25, and Charlotte Harry, 22, who took over House 1.

Maddy and Charlotte turned out to be wonderful competitors, coming in from a standing start at their young age,” reflects Julian. “They’ve proved to be an inspiration to a whole generation of young women who’ve been watching. That’s a wonderful thing for the show to have done in its 20th season.”

The Block Australia screens 7pm Sunday to Wednesday on Three and streams on Three Now. The final auctions airs on 2 February.
