She’s proven herself to be the standout star from this season of Married At First Sight Australia, handing out sage, albeit somewhat eccentric, advice to all of her fellow participants.
So it’s no wonder that Byron Bay’s celebrity hippie Lucinda Light is already being primed to make a return to the show next season – as an expert!
Woman’s Day hears there could be a reshuffling of the experts next season, with Alessandra Rampolla, John Aiken and Melissa Schilling all yet to sign their contracts.
“Mel is living in the UK now and given the nature of her health at the moment, she isn’t looking to travel as much,” a MAFS insider tells Woman’s Day. “Meanwhile, John and Alessandra are still planning what their schedules will look like in 2025.”

Whispers at the network suggest show producers are so enamoured with MC and marriage celebrant Lucinda that they’re looking at getting her back next season in some role, with several staff really gunning for her to become a permanent fixture alongside the team.
Talking to us, Lucinda hints at a possible return, saying she’d be open to the opportunity.
“As a trained holistic counsellor, I’m deeply passionate about fostering meaningful connections and personal growth,” she says. “If given the opportunity to be a relationship expert on a show like Married At First Sight, I would strive to infuse the experience with additional resources and tools to help participants communicate effectively and strengthen their bonds.
“My vision is to create spaces and places where individuals can truly thrive and reach their fullest potential, believing that with the right inspiration and support, everyone is capable of profound personal transformation.”
Look, we don’t know what that means either, but watch this space!
