Palace sources say there’s tension in the royal family between Prince Charles and Prince Andrew as they feud over palace duties.
The Prince of Wales and the Prince of York are at loggerheads over the royal responsibilities of Andrew’s children, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
Sources say Charles has sidelined the princesses in an effort to streamline the monarchy and cut costs. Andrew was reportedly overheard complaining at a cocktail party about how his daughters had been left out of royal roles. He is said to believes this is insulting because they are the only “blood princesses” of their generation and is unhappy with the amount of attention Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge receives.
There is also tension between Kate and Eugenie after Eugenie played matchmaker, setting up Prince Harry with Cressida Bonas – the sister of Kate’s rival for Prince William, Isabella Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe.
