Queen Elizabeth II’s official death certificate has been made public, revealing the late monarch died at 3:10pm on September 8.
The new details of the exact time of the Queen’s death have revealed most of her family didn’t arrive in time to say their goodbyes.
At the time of her death, Prince William, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex were all rushing from London to Balmoral Castle.

Sadly, they didn’t arrive at Balmoral, the Queen’s beloved Scottish retreat, until 5pm, nearly two hours after she died and roughly 90 minutes before the death was announced to the public.
The only royals to sit with the Queen on her deathbed was her son King Charles III, his wife Queen Consort Camilla and her daughter Princess Anne.
On September 16, eight days after the Queen’s death, Princess Anne signed her mother’s death certificate, which was on Friday made public.

The registrar general for Scotland, Paul Lowe, confirmed that the Queen’s death was registered in Aberdeenshire.
The certificate, published by the National Records of Scotland, states that the Queen died of old age and listed her occupation as “Her Majesty The Queen”.
Douglas James Allan Glass is noted as the certifying registered medical practitioner, with old age listed as the only cause of death, with no other contributing factors.
Old age is an acceptable cause of death if the doctor certifying the death has cared for the patient for a long time, was not aware of any disease or injury and had observed a gradual decline in the person’s general health.
Dr Glass, a general practitioner in Braemar, Scotland, had cared for the Royal Family at Balmoral since the late 1980s.
He began his role as Apothecary to Her Majesty’s Household at Balmoral on March 30, 1988.
