Duchess of Cambridge back to work

Duchess of Cambridge was straight back to work just one day after Prince George’s christening.

Her son may have just had the biggest day of his little life so far, but the Duchess of Cambridge was straight back to work only one day after Prince George’s christening.

Leaving dad Prince William to babysit George, who she said had been “such a good boy” at the christening, and was “fast asleep” when she left, Kate looked resplendent as she mounted the stairs to the event. Wearing a stunning blue floor-length gown with black velvet belt from royal favourite designer Jenny Packham’s Autumn/Winter 2013 collection, the duchess was all smiles as she arrived at the 100 Women In Hedge Funds Action on Addiction charity gala, where she was guest of honour.

Luckily for the working mum, Kate didn’t have to travel far to the event, which was held at the Kensington Palace state apartments – where she lives – in the $7000 v-neck gown with wrapped front, gathered sleeves and hidden back zips.

The annual event, which Kate and William both attended in 2011 at St James’ Palace, where a total of $1.3 million was raised, signals a return to duties for the 31-year-old, who presented Dame Amelia Fawcett with the 100 Women in Hedge Funds’ 2013 European Industry Leadership Award.
