He wants to fix his feud with his family and get back on speaking terms with his dad, the King. But don’t expect Prince Harry to try to return to his royal roots in the UK.

Worried about being banished
That’s the message from Harry’s team following rumours. That the reason two of his staff held “peace talks” with one of the King’s aides was because he fears being banished. Author Tom Bower claims Harry, 40, is “desperate” to patch things up with his father, 76. Because he’s concerned that once his brother Prince William, 43, is King, he’ll be effectively exiled.
“Harry is seriously worried that when his father dies, William will literally banish him and he will have no status in Britain at all,” explains Tom.
But a spokesperson for Harry says while he wants to reconcile with his family. His future is in the US with his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, 43, and their children Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.
Honouring Dianna’s legacy
He’s keeping busy supporting the causes he believes in. Such as backing a campaign started by his mother Princess Diana nearly three decades ago. Harry re-enacted a significant moment in royal history by retracing his mum’s footsteps through a field of landmines in Angola.
Iconic images from 1997 show the late princess walking along a path flanked by landmines laid during a civil war in the African nation. She was publicising the work of a charity, the Halo Trust, which removes bombs from war zones.
Harry recreated the shots to encourage the Angolan government to support Halo. Which is still clearing the deadly explosive devices nearly 30 years later. Doing this kind of work gives him purpose, says a royal source.
“If he can keep promoting causes he cares about in this way without being stuck in the confines of the royal family, then that’s ideal for him. Why would he need to return to the UK?”
