The first trailer for Disney’s new Beauty and the Beast film has been released, giving fans their first look at Emma Watson in the iconic role of Belle.
While the clip doesn’t give too much away, it does provide a glimpse of the desolate setting of the Beast’s lavish castle, as well as the enchanted rose Belle stumbles upon during her exploration of the grounds.
Meanwhile, a brief voiceover during the trailer showcases Ewan McGregor and Ian McKellen in their roles as the Beast’s loyal servants Lumiere and Cogsworth. The film also stars Downton Abbey’s Dan Stevens as the Prince/Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Emma Thompson as Mrs Potts and Kevin Kline as Belle’s father Maurice.
Josh Gad, who plays the bumbling LeFou in the film, shared the first photo of the cast on his Instagram account last year, captioning it, “Can’t wait for you to be our guest”.
Beauty and the Beast will hit cinemas on March 17, 2017.
