When they ended their relationship on Married At First Sight Australia, Lucinda Light and Timothy Smith told Woman’s Day they were “friends for life”. But just three months later, the exes are no longer speaking and have unfollowed each other on social media.
Amid rumours that Tim, 51, caught Lucinda, 43, gossiping about him, Tim claimed his ex was “a little different” to the carefree Earth Mother we saw on screen and said he “didn’t walk away easily” from their friendship, adding, “Eight chances was enough.”
He explains, “If you find yourself talking about me in a way you know I wouldn’t appreciate, then that is not a good friend… We are both now moving in different circles.”
Lucinda has responded on social media, saying, “Conscious, clear and kind communication would have been my preference. If I’d offended Tim, I would have loved a phone conversation toward resolve.”
But she added, “There are no hard feelings my end and I still hold a lantern of hope for our friendship.”
