X Factor judge Redfoo glassed at Sydney hotel

X Factor Australia judge Redfoo has escaped serious injury after he was allegedly glassed at a Sydney hotel overnight

The international music star was partying with friends at the Gold Sheaf Hotel in Double Bay when he was reportedly attacked just after 12.30am.

Witnesses told police that the 39-year-old pop singer was in a private area of the pub in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, when he was approached by a 21-year-old man who allegedly threw a glass at him.

The popular reality TV judge sustained a cut above his right eye and was treated at the scene by paramedics.

One of the patrons who witnessed the incident, Josh Allerton, took to Twitter: “Just saw @RedFoo get a bottle thrown at his head at the Golden Sheaf bleeding!Jesus Christ! What is wrong with people..Hope you’re okay mate”

Redfoo responded: “jealousy is a hell of a drug!”

Police say the attacker tried to flee the venue, but was stopped by security guards and arrested.

He has since been charged with malicious wounding and is due to appear in court on September 24.
