Her fairytale love story with husband David Beckham has always been subject to tabloid gossip, but in a new interview with Grazia, Victoria has shot down the latest talk of trouble in paradise.
“I am blessed to have a wonderful husband and beautiful, healthy, happy children. Yes, we travel a lot with our respective businesses and charitable commitments, but we always make time for each other as a couple and as a family,” she told Grazia.
“David and I have nothing to prove. We love each other, look out for each other and are strong as both partners and parents.”
Judging from these statements, there can be no doubt about the strength of David and Victoria’s devotion to each other, but the pair do juggle busier schedules than most couples.
Since stepping back from his career on the football field, David has been working more closely than ever with long-time charity partner UNICEF and has also been jetting around the world to promote his whisky brand Haig Club.
For her part, Victoria has been equally busy with her own charitable causes and spearheading the expansion of her fashion empire with the launch of a new diffusion line and a showing at New York Fashion Week.
Aside from all that, the couple have also got their hands full raising their four children Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 10 and four-year-old Harper.
Victoria admits that juggling the pressures of work and family isn’t easy, but insists she’s just like any other mum out there – just with a bit of “extra help”. In fact, she and David hope to pass on their work ethic to their children, who have grown up with more wealth than they did.
“David and I explain to the children what privileged lives they lead. We tell them that in many places in the world children are hungry, homeless and sick,” she told Grazia.
“They all understand how important it is to help others.”
