Shannen Doherty has shared some incredibly raw photos of her breast cancer battle.
The 45-year-old actress shared the images of her shaving her head on her Instagram account, captioning the images as “Step 1” through to “Step 6.”

Along with her friend Anne Kortright-Shilstat and mum Rose Elizabeth, the 90210 star walked her fans through the emotional process.

Doherty, who started her career as a child actor in the 1980s and became a cultural phenomenon with her portrayal of Brenda Walsh in Beverly Hills 90210, has been fighting breast cancer since March 2015.

The news of Doherty’s diagnosis came to light in August 2015, when the actress sued her former manager and management firm for, among other things, failing to pay her Screen Actors Guild medical insurance premiums for the 2014 coverage year, resulting in Doherty’s medical insurance being cancelled.
