Nicole Kidman celebrates her birthday in style

Way back in the day, Nicole hosted Saturday Night Live in 1993… Her pants apparently did not make the cut.

When she won her Oscar for The Hours in 2003, Nicole wore this dark Maroon Jean Paul Gaultier number that was almost worthy of an Oscar itself.

Nicole’s dress at the 76th Annual Academy Awards in 2004 made us wonder if she was going to swim away. The bubble-blue mermaid dress was certainly a stunner!

Here she and her then-husband Tom Cruise arrive at the 69th Annual Academy Awards in 1997. Nicole wore John Galliano for Christian Dior and has appeared on best “Oscar dresses ever” lists ever since.

Nicole looked almost as impressed by her dress at the Tokyo screening of the The Golden Compass as we were.

The Aussie actress is widely regarded as one of the best-dressed stars around – so there is no doubt her youngest daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret will have the world’s greatest dress-up box to play with one day soon.
