Update 12.02.16: Liam’s rep has confirmed the actor was simply kidding around with his original comments about dating an “incredibly famous” woman.

“He was joking with an Irish journalist while conducting an interview promoting a documentary, and the humorous tone of that statement did not translate in the printed version of the interview,” the rep told People.

Taken star Liam Neeson has someone special to spoil this Valentine’s Day!

The 63-year-old star has revealed he has found love with someone “incredibly famous” and he’s already planning to do something special for her on February 14.

“I’ll have to do my best for her [on Valentine’s Day],” he told the Irish Independent.

“It’s amazing how far a freshly picked bunch of flowers will go in a lady’s life, I find.”

Liam went on to reveal that his new love is “incredibly famous”, but played coy when it came to dropping the mystery woman’s name.

“I’d embarrass her if I said her name,” he told the publication.

While Liam is keeping the identity of the woman under wraps for now, rumours have already started swirling that the star in question could be none other than Twilight actress Kristen Stewart!

Liam’s wife of 15 years, Natasha Richardson, died at the age of 45 in 2009.

Gossip site Jezebel started the frenzy when they wrote: “When searching a popular photo service for “Tao NYC” (a nightclub/restaurant famous people and rich people who think they’re famous love to be seen at) only two famous people are in their archives as having been there on January 5th. Those two famous people are—you guessed it—Liam Neeson and Kristen Stewart.”

The writers went on to add that the speculation is based on “almost nothing”, and the rumours were later proved to be false – but that didn’t stop social media users from throwing plenty of other names into the ring, including Susan Sarandon, Charlize Theron and Halle Berry.

Fans are speculating wildly about Liam’s new love, with guesses ranging from Charlize Theron to Kristen Stewart.

The relationship is the first Liam has spoken publicly about since he suffered the heartbreaking loss of his wife of 15 years, Natasha Richardson, in 2009. The celebrated actress was taking a beginner’s skiing lesson during a trip to Quebec, Canada, in 2009 when she fell and injured her head. Immediately after the accident, the star remained conscious and even refused medical help twice, including assistance from the paramedics who arrived at the scene.

However, three hours later Natasha went to a nearby hospital with a headache. She was flown to a New York hospital shortly after and sadly died two days later of a severe brain bleed, in what is known in layman’s terms as “talk-and-die syndrome”.

Natasha’s devastating death took its toll on Liam and their two sons Micheal and Daniel, who were just 13 and and 12 years old at the time. In a recent interview, Micheal revealed he had fallen into a spiral of drugs and wild partying after he lost his mother and hit “rock bottom” in 2014, before he checked himself into rehab.

“I was going out, partying a lot, looking for self-gratification,” he said.

“I wanted to be the man, doing these drugs.”

Now working as a fashion gallery curator, the 19-year-old credits his famous father and younger brother Daniel for helping him get his life back together.
