Kim Kardashian slams Bette Midler and Chloe Moretz in war over nude selfie

First it was Kanye grabbing all the attention for his Twitter rants, and now it looks like wife Kim wants a piece of the action too!

The reality star caused uproar when she posted a throwback nude selfie to Instagram and Twitter on Monday, drawing criticism from Piers Morgan, Bette Midler and Chloe Grace Moretz, among others.

Chloe tweeted the star, “I truly hope you realize how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies.”

Meanwhile, Piers made joking reference to Kanye’s recent admission of personal debt, writing, “I know the old man’s $50 million in debt, Kim – but this is absurd. Want me to buy you some clothes?”

Kim posted the first nude selfie that started it all (left) on Monday, before fuelling the fire with a second selfie yesterday.

Bette had her own take on the situation, quipping, “If Kim wants us to see a part of her we’ve never seen, she’s gonna have to swallow the camera.”

It seems Kim wasn’t prepared to take the attacks lightly, as she took to Twitter soon after to fire back at the trio with her own biting remarks.

She started off by tweeting about cashing her “80 million video game check” and “transferring 53 million” into her and Kanye’s joint account, before going in on the stars who had slammed her.

For her part, Bette declared she had never tried to “fake friend” the reality star.

“Looks like anyone can take a selfie but not everyone can take a joke…” she tweeted.

As for Chloe, the young actress had this to say about the whole affair: “There’s a huge difference in respecting the platform that you’re given as a celebrity and “slut shaming” something I never have done and would never do.”

The Twitter war marks a rare public spat for Kim, who usually prefers to stay out of social media rants and arguments with other celebrities. Just last month, she stepped in to settle a long-running feud between Kanye and his ex Amber Rose, with some reports claiming Kim had “called Amber directly and squashed [the] beef once and for all”.

The bizarre behaviour is so out of character for Kim it prompted speculation that Kanye or sister Khloe Kardashian had taken over her account and were tweeting for her, a rumour that Kim has strongly denied.

“Wait I can’t believe people thought Kanye or Khloe hacked my Twitter. I swear I’m funny too!!!” she tweeted earlier today.
