I feel like I’m floating – we can’t stop giggling!” a delighted Kimberley Crossman tells Woman’s Day just hours after accepting a proposal from her boyfriend of 10 months, Tom Walsh, while on holiday on Italy’s Amalfi Coast. “Tom is the most brilliant, talented, kind and stunning human, so it was the easiest decision ever.”
The perfect spot for a proposal.
The cameraman, 44 – who met the actress while he was director of photography on her reality series Snack Masters NZ – says, “I am all about the vision, but I’d never been to the area, so I used Google Maps and photos of scenery to find the most romantic spot to drop down on one knee. I’m so happy I found the perfect place – and that she said yes!”
“Yes, yes, yes!” was Kim’s reply.
Having famously starred in the iconic “togs, togs, undies” ad for Tip Top, Tom continues, “Kim is everything I have been looking for in a partner. She’s the most supportive, loving, respectful, caring, compatible, organised, fun person I have ever met. I’m so lucky I get to spend the rest of my life with her.”
Togs or undies? Tom is over the moon either way.
And the feeling is mutual, with Kim, 33, adding, “I know we’re always on each other’s team, which is the best feeling. We often say, ‘Our love is like soup,’ because it makes you warm and cosy on the inside, and it feels like home – that quote is actually engraved on the inside of my ring!
“We share the same core values – curiosity, humour, generosity and a huge focus on family. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him, adventuring the planet, making content, eating epic meals and kissing in public. I miss him when he is in another room!”
