Overlooking the breathtaking Sydney skyline and surrounded by exotic animals, rugby league star Kevin Locke knew his wedding to former Australian netballer Chelsea Pitman at Taronga Zoo would be unique and memorable.
But despite being in the presence of majestic giraffes and elephants, Kevin only had eyes for one gorgeous creature!
“When I saw Chelsea walk down the aisle, I couldn’t believe how beautiful she looked,” says the former Warriors player. “Everything was perfect. I was full of happy tears.”
About 100 close family and friends gathered on December 30 to witness Kevin, 26, and Chelsea, 27, tie the knot. Guests included many of the couple’s sporting pals – league stars Russell Packer and Feleti Mateo, Warrior Ben Matulino, Silver Fern Courtney Tairi, Australian netballers Laura Geitz, Mo’onia Gerrard and Kimberley Ravaillion, and Jamaican netball star Romelda Aiken.

Chelsea wore an intricate lace gown by European label Pronovias Barcelona for her big day.
The couple met have weathered plenty of ups and downs together, but the challenges only made their love stronger.
““I have finally found real love, a love that has brought us to this day,” Kevin said during his vows.
“There are three words that are stronger than ‘I love you’ and they are ‘I choose you’. I choose you over all others to share my life with,” Chelsea vowed.
The couple wed in a unique and breathtakingly beautiful location – Sydney’s Taronga Zoo.
“It was the most perfect day ever,” Kevin said of the pair’s nuptials.
