With two members of the Hannah clan suspected of killing Shortland Street’s Wendy Cooper, things aren’t going great for the TV2 family’s father, Mo, played by Jarod Rawiri.
But away from the drama in fictional Ferndale, life couldn’t be more rosy for the small-screen star, who shares his wedding with longtime love Dolina in Woman’s Day this week.
Joined by 200 family and friends, the bride and groom sealed the deal in a bohemian, picnic-style wedding on a piece of Jarod’s ancestral land on the outskirts of Auckland.
Favouring the unique over a more traditional wedding, Dolina wore a full-length floral dress, designed by a friend, and blue tasselled heels, and guest’s “glamped” in luxury tents under a starlit sky.
It was a day filled with poetry, song and dance, which Jarod says, was the perfect way to celebrate the couple’s epic 14-year union.
“I wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of how I would feel, just because we’ve been together for so long and we’ve already got a family,” recalls Jarod. “But after the wedding, we snuck away and we just had a moment to reflect. I realised that I do feel really different – happier.”
