In the picture, credited to Gérard Schachmes, Céline is seen throwing her arms around her husband as the two share a loving embrace.

The photo was published as Céline’s profile picture on Facebook earlier today, as the star shared more details of René’s upcoming memorial at Caesars Palace.

Celine shared this uncaptioned photo on Facebook today.

The service is being described as “a celebration of life” for René and will be live streamed online, while those who wish to send their condolences to Céline and the family are being encouraged to do so here.

René tragically passed away last month, after courageously battling cancer for several years. He left behind wife Céline, their sons René-Charles, Nelson and Eddy, and three children from his previous marriages – Anne-Marie, Jean-Pierre and Patrick Angélil.

On January 30, just over two weeks after René’s death, Celine released a statement on Facebook saying she was “deeply touched” by the messages of support she and her family had received.

“We have felt your love for René, and your prayers and compassion have helped us during this most difficult time … more than you’ll ever know,” she wrote.

“I thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

René met Céline when she was 12 years old, after hearing a demo tape she had recorded. He initially signed on to be her agent before eventually taking on the role of manager, and was a tireless supporter of her career. He only stepped down from his responsibilities as manager in 2014, due to his worsening health issues.

Céline and René had three children together – eldest son Réné-Charles and twins Nelson and Eddy.

The couple married in 1994, when Céline was 26 and René was 52. Despite their age difference, Céline revealed the two were made for each other.

“I’m not surprised that we married each other, because we have the same dreams,” she said in a 1995 interview.

“We have the same goals. We respect each other.”
