Bob Geldof and Jeanne Marine have reportedly tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in the South of France – just weeks after marking the first anniversary of Peaches Geldof’s tragic death.
Bob proposed to Jeanne shortly after Peaches passed away on April 7, 2014, with mutual friend Jerry Hall revealing Jeanne was “over the moon”.
“Jeanne Marine has been a rock and a tower of strength over this. I’m so excited for her I am bursting to tell someone,” she told The Daily Mail.
Bob and Jeanne have been together for 19 years, after meeting at a dinner party in Paris in 1996. At first, the two were rumoured to be looking at the St Mary Magdalene & St Lawrence Church near their Kent home for the nuptials – but it seems they eventually settled on a location in France instead.
The church holds special significance for the family, as Bob’s daughter Peaches married her husband Thomas Cohen there in 2012, and she was buried there after passing away last year. It is also the same chapel where Bob married his first wife Paula Yates, who he divorced in 1996.
