According to him, the story about Bey and Jay’s potential divorce was all planned to promote the power couple’s On the Run tour!
Not only that, Matthew implied the infamous Solange/Jay Z elevator bust-up could also have been a publicity stunt.
He made the shocking allegations while on-air for The Roula and Ryan Show, telling the hosts “I know, because we’ve done this”.
“From experience, there’s a tour going on. So, you sometimes have to ignite that tour,” he went on.
“It’s called a Jedi mind trick. The Jedi mind trick fools you a lot.”
Beyonce shared this image of herself and dad Matthew in a throwback Instagram post earlier this year.
When he was asked about the Solange incident, Matthew made the same comment.
“All I know is the Jedi mind trick. Everybody’s talking about it. Ticket sales went up. Solange’s album sales went up 200 per cent!”
We have trouble believing that music’s biggest power couple would need any extra publicity, but Matthew has yet to backtrack on his claims.
