Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are more alone than ever amid the ongoing scandal surrounding their parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. Their once-united family is in tatters and we’re told the girls may be forced to walk away from royal life.
“Beatrice and Eugenie don’t know where to turn or who to trust,” a palace insider tells Woman’s Day.
“They’re fighting for what’s left of their credibility.”
Ninth and 12th in line to the throne respectively, Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35, are now under investigation themselves. Everyone is keen to make sure their finances cannot be linked in any way to their disgraced mum and dad’s relationship with late child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Royal residence shake-up
The news comes after confirmation from Buckingham Palace that Andrew, 65, will move out of his royal residence after the King initiated a “formal process to remove the style, titles and honours of Prince Andrew”.
He will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. We’re told there was a family summit. It left Beatrice and Eugenie scrabbling to cover up any secrets they may be hiding.
Pressure on Beatrice and Eugenie
“It’s put pressure on them to ensure their own fortunes haven’t benefited,” says our well-placed source.
“They’re facing questions over any money they’ve received from their parents. It’s incomprehensible to be in such a humiliating position. “Already they’ve been distancing themselves from their father, but to have to do the same with their mum is completely devastating. They’ve got young kids and need her around, but they don’t know who she is any more. They feel life as they know it is completely over.”

Protecting their families
The sisters’ last hope is that their own families walk out of this scandal untarnished. Beatrice married property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 41, in 2020 and the pair have two daughters, Sienna, three, and Athena, nine months, while Eugenie and her husband of seven years, Jack Brooksbank, 39, have sons August, four, and Ernest, two.
Our source adds, “While Eugenie’s husband is optimistic that her good reputation will carry them through, Beatrice is taking heat from Edo’s posh family, who are shocked.”
William’s influence on the monarchy
While Prince William is known to have a good relationship with his cousins, the 43-year-old has reportedly exerted his influence on Charles, 76. He has played a large role in how “the Andrew problem” has been handled.
If the scandal continues much longer, it’s likely he’ll do what he can to cut the Yorks out completely. He will aim to preserve the monarchy’s reputation.
Fergie flees down under!

Fergie is out in the cold after confirmation from Buckingham Palace that she must leave Royal Lodge. Left to sort out her own living arrangements, insiders say the disgraced former duchess may start afresh. She could flee the UK to a different country – and Australia seems to be the obvious pick.
“Sarah’s sister Jane recently came over to comfort her and she has suggested she could always move to be near her in Australia,” royal biographer Phil Dampier tells Woman’s Day.
“Fergie has always loved Oz and Aussies, and some still like her. “Like many families with loved ones on the other side of the world, she’d miss her daughters and grandchildren. But they could always visit and at least she would be free to live again.”

While Fergie, 66, has been cast loose, the BBC reported that Andrew will move to a property on the private Sandringham estate. This arrangement is to be privately funded by Charles.
As for Royal Lodge?
Phil says, “The 30-room mansion costs a fortune to maintain, so what will happen to it? Maybe if prodigal son Harry returns one day, it could be his new home.”
