A travel correspondent has revealed the secret room on airplanes that many of us never knew existed.
Unless you’ve worked in the airline industry, you’ve probably been oblivious to the secret crew room that exists inside certain planes.
In a cabin above business class, there lives an eight bed room that gives the crew a place to rest. With the access door just behind the cockpit, most passengers probably don’t even notice the crew accessing the area during longhaul flights.
On a Boeing 747, the beds are stacked on top of one another like bunks, with each one coming complete with a seatbelt for any turbulence, and privacy curtains for some good old shut eye.
On an Airbus A380, the pilot has their own rest area, whereas on a Boeing 777, pilots have a sink, toilet, business class seats and two sleeping spaces all to themselves.
So, it turns out the best eight seats on a plane have been hidden all this time.
