Zara Phillips‘ wedding wasn’t as raucous as people would imagine.
Although the Queen’s granddaughter and her rugby star husband Mike Tindall are both renowned for being laid back and enjoying a party, close pal Kirsty Gallacher says their nuptials in Edinburgh, Scotland in July last year were great fun, but more sedate than people would expect.
“We had a great time at Zara and Mike’s wedding, it was wonderful. It wasn’t too raucous – we’d had a wedding the day before in Bristol and I was doing a reading and then we had to get up to Edinburgh, so we were a bit rushed,” Kirsty told BANG Showbiz.
Kirsty was saddened she and husband Paul Sampson – who is a close friend of Mike’s from their days playing rugby together for Bath – missed the pre-wedding cocktail party on board the decommissioned Royal Yacht Britannia, but was thrilled to make it in time to see “stunning” Zara walk down the aisle.
“It was a great day and Zara looked absolutely stunning. It was so much fun.”
