Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes aren’t the only young stars who have struggled with drug and alcohol abuse in recent years. Sources reveal High School Musical star Zac Efron completed a stint in rehab just five months ago.
“He’s healthy, happy and not drinking,” one source told E! News. “He’s taking time to focus on working.”
The actor, who recently walked the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival for his film Parkland, is “doing great,” a source tells People.com. “He’s taking care of himself and it shows.”
Efron says that making his new film about the Kennedy assassination was a “surreal experience”.
“It feels very mature and really interesting. It’s a whole different kind of filmmaking and I feel blessed to have been a part of it,” he told USA Today.
