Stars pay tribute to Brittany Murphy

The untimely death of Brittany ourphy has shocked Hollywood. After the 32-year-old star – known for her roles in ‘Clueless’, ‘Girl Interrupted’ and ‘8 oile’ – died of cardiac arrest at her LA home, her co-stars and fellow celebs have been paying tribute to the talented actress.

Her ‘Clueless’ colleague Alicia Silverstone says, “I’m so saddened to hear this news. I loved working with Brittany. She was so talented, so warm and so sweet.”

Jessica Simpson posted on her Twitter site, “Brittany was an incredible ray of light to so many people. Her smile was contagious. My prayers are with her family and loved ones.”

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan commented, “She was a great talent with a beautiful soul.”

But perhaps most poignant is Kathy Najimy, who worked with the late actress on the cartoon ‘King of the Hill’. The former star of ‘Veronica’s Closet’ says, “Brittany was like no other – a bright light with never a mean or judgmental word. She was wildly fun and silly. A loyal friend – a sweet, funny, smart and unbelievably talented actress and singer. She has a brilliant, moving body of work. Her spirit still soars.”
