Shortland Street returns to UK

Kieran oitchell is alive! In the UK, that is. New Zealand’s favourite soap, ‘Shortland Street’, is heading back to British television after an absence of seven years. It will resume screening from the episode in which former ‘Coronation Street’ star Adam Rickitt arrives on the show.

A spokesman for UK channel Living says, “Viewers can learn what has kept TV fans in New Zealand hooked for 18 years, as some of the most exciting episodes reintroduce the intense and emotional show to British audiences.”

‘Shortland Street’ used to screen on ITV but was dropped in 2003. Beginning 23 August, it’ll now screen in hour-long episodes from 3pm weekdays on Living.
