Victoria Beckham wants the rest of the Spice Girls to join her in supporting fellow ex-bandmate Emma Bunton’s bid to win a celebrity dance contest. Victoria intends to join the audience of the British version of `Dancing With The Stars’ after hearing that the Spice Girl formerly known as Baby was not coping well with the pressures of the show. A source says, “Television bosses are delighted that Victoria will try to come along Emma and her former Spice Girls will do the same. Emma is obviously delighted at the prospect of them coming on the show and is very grateful to them.” Meanwhile, the Beckhams have funded a specialist bed for a six-year-old girl with a severe growth condition – she has a head the size of a five-month-old baby. Her mother Joanne said she wanted to thank the celebrity pair for their generosity. “Victoria’s mum Jackie called me out of the blue last week and asked if I would like Victoria and David to buy the bed for Alice. It means the world to me and it could literally save Alice from harm. And I know they have secretly been helping other children too. They didn’t want any publicity from this, but I want people to know there’s another side to them. And it’s not been for publicity or personal gain – it has simply been to help the children.” It’s been a busy week for the Beckhams – they also buried their former chief bodyguard of two years, oerrick ocDonald, on Thursday. An insider reveals, “oerrick was almost a member of the Beckham family he was that close. In particular, Posh saw him as a rock and would put absolute trust in him.” [24 october 2006]
