Their parting words to New Zealand Woman’s Weekly last month were a plea to Sony Music to sign them, and now Christchurch boy band Moorhouse have got their wish.
Sony Music announced this morning that Marley Wilcox-Nanai (17), Rory McKenna, (20), Brock Ashby (19) and Jason Aileone (19) are now signed artists to the Sony label, who also represent fellow The X Factor New Zealand contestants Whenua Patuwai, Benny Tipene and winner Jackie Thomas.
The excited boy band posted a couple of tweets last week saying there was some good news to be announced Monday.
Brock says getting signed is “a dream come true”.
“We have worked really hard to get here, to be on the same label as Stan Walker, who we look up to, is a complete honour! This is everything we wanted and more.”
Moorhouse are currently working hard on their debut album, which Sony says will be due for release before Christmas.
