Mariah Carey may be ‘obsessed’ with her dogs, but she doesn’t seem to want to ‘Make it Happen’ when it comes to paying their veterinary bills!
The ‘Hero’ hit-maker called on the services of a New York vet when her puppy Cha Cha became pregnant at just six months. When the even smaller Dolomite was born, the wee dog required hands-on intensive care – so much so, the vet moved into Mariah’s mansion in order to provide round-the-clock care.
The vet says, “We were up all night caring for and tube-feeding the puppy. Mariah loves her dogs and requested the best care and that’s what she got.”
However, Mariah has left most of her $53,000 bill unpaid and has been refusing to cough up the remaining amount – so the vet is suing her. The singer’s attorney says the diva intends to fight the lawsuit, which he describes as a “crass publicity stunt”.
