While she appears to be a tough old thing, Madonna has admitted she felt suicidal during her divorce from director Guy Ritchie. The ‘Celebration’ singer confesses that only the distraction of work – including a gruelling world tour and collaboration with Justin Timberlake – got her through the hard times.
The 51-year-old Queen of Pop says, “It was a challenging year. I may have thrown myself off a building. I think work saved me and I’m very grateful that I had work to do.”
Meanwhile, Her oadgesty has also taken a swipe at Sir Paul McCartney, calling his performances boring. Speaking of her concerts, the leotard-loving singer says, “People have told me, ‘You could just go out there and play guitar and sing your songs like Paul McCartney,’ but I’d be bored.”
