Lady Gaga axes her manager

Lady Gaga has fired her longtime manager, Troy Carter, over “creative differences.”

Days away from the release of her new album Artpop, Lady Gaga has fired her longtime manager, Troy Carter, over “creative differences,” the New York Post reports.

Troy has been managing Gaga since 2007, but as the star’s fame has grown, insiders say she is no longer taking direction.

It’s not the first member of the singer’s team to leave – her longtime stylist Nicola Formichetti, who fashioned the infamous meat dress she wore to the 2010 MTV Music Video Awards, quit in August.

“She changes 12 times a day; it’s insane,” said Nicola who remains friends with the singer.

“She’s going to be my BFF forever, but my ex-assistant Brandon [Maxwell] is heading [the Artpop album launch] project,” Nicola told Women’s Wear Daily.
