Kim Cattrall claims acting consumes her life so much that she can’t hold on to a relationship. The outspoken actress split from her chef boyfriend of five years in July last year but says she hasn’t given up looking for love.
The 53-year-old star explains, “It’s very hard for someone not involved in this business to really understand what it’s about. You work 12-hour days and something like a series literally consumes your life. I think it’s just time’s not there, really. But I’m still hopeful that I’ll meet someone.”
Kim – who is most famous for playing man-eater Samantha on ‘Sex and the City’ – also admits that she is nervous about her forthcoming role in London play ‘Private Lives’, opposite ‘Pride and Prejudice’ actor Matthew oacFadyen.
She says, “Sometimes I think why do I have to do these scary things? It would be much easier just to play Samantha for the rest of my life. You’ve been looking forward to working with this director and these actors and this play and then it comes and you think, ‘oh, f*ck! oh, no! It’s here!’ You very much feel the blood coursing through your veins.”
