Katherine Jackson reinstated as guardian

Katherine Jackson has been reinstated as guardian of her grandchildren, Prince Michael (15), Paris (14) and Prince Michael II, known as Blanket, (10). Last week the 82-year-old Jackson matriarch lost custody of her grandchildren after she left her California home to stay at a resort in Arizona in the care of her daughter Rebbie.

Michael Jackson’s children appeared to have been unaware of their grandmother’s whereabouts and Katherine’s nephew Trent reported her missing to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Custody of the children was officially granted to their cousin TJ.

But today the Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff found Katherine fit to take care of the children, saying she was doing a “wonderful job” with their upbringing. “It’s clear to me that the children are well cared for by Mrs Jackson,” the judge said. “It is clear to me they love her very much.”

While some things are back to normal in the Jackson household, all is not well in the family as the feud between the children and their aunt, pop star Janet Jackson, continues. For more details see next week’s magazine.
