The man convicted of murdering the mother, brother and young nephew of Dreamgirls star Jennifer Hudson has been sentenced to three consecutive life terms in prison.
Jennifer appeared in court every day while her former brother-in-law, William Balfour, was on trial and was also present again at the sentencing.
Sources close to Jennifer say with William behind bars, she now has a sense of closure and is planning a wedding to fiancé David Otunga, with whom she has a two-year-old son David Junior.
The sentencing came two months after a jury convicted William of shooting deaths of Jennifer’s 57-year-old mother Darnell Donerson, her 29-year-old brother Jason Hudson and her seven-year-old nephew Julian King.
