Michael Jackson, who was cleared of child-molestation charges earlier this year, has been summoned back to court – this time for jury service.
A jury summons was delivered to the eccentric singer’s Neverland ranch in California but his lawyers say he won’t show up because he no longer lives in the US.
Michael (46) now resides in Bahrain, as a guest of the royal family, although he is currently in London, where he is recording a charity song for victims of Hurricane Katrina.
California Jury Commissioner Gary Blair says the King of Pop won’t be penalised for not turning up. “All he has to do is show he has legal residency somewhere else and he’ll be exempted.”
