They might not share much of a family resemblance but Halle Berry has revealed she is distantly related to former Alaskan governor and 2008 US vice president candidate Sarah Palin.
Halle revealed the shocking connection during an interview on Extra. The star was on the news show to promote her new film Cloud Atlas along with co-star Tom Hanks.
“You want to know who I’m related to? Sarah Palin!” said Halle laughing, as they discussed family connections. “In some twisted way [we are related]… somebody sent me this information that she was my distant [relative].”
Halle was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Her mother is American European and her father is African American.
Halle is not the only Cloud Atlas star with a political connection – Tom Hanks revealed recently that he is distantly related to former President Abraham Lincoln.
