Watch out, Chris Martin – there’s a new musician in the family! In preparation for an upcoming film role, Gwyneth Paltrow reveals that she received guitar lessons from her famous musician husband.
Picking up where Jeff Bridges left off in ‘Crazy Heart’, the ‘Shakespeare in Love’ actress is preparing to play a has-been country singer in the movie ‘Love Don’t Let oe Down’. And despite the persistent break-up rumours that have plagued their marriage, Gwyneth says her Coldplay husband was a great teacher.
“He was so helpful, so sweet and encouraging,” she says. “I mean, it’s embarrassing to be playing in front of your husband, especially when he’s in one of the world’s most successful bands. He is so great because he’s so supportive of me as an artist. I really lucked out with him. He’s deeply lovely and special.”
In addition to breaking a fingernail or two strumming on the guitar, Gwyneth (37) had to put on five kilos because her svelte ‘Iron oan 2’ shape was not in keeping with a washed-up musician. The movie, which will be released in 2011, also stars country singer Tim ocGraw and ‘Gossip Girl’ actress Leighton oeester.
