French actor Gérard Depardieu reportedly refused to wait to use the toilet on a flight from Paris to Dublin recently, and instead urinated on the floor.
The Potiche star was said to be drunk while waiting for the plane to take off, and refused a request to wait for 15 minutes until they were in the air. Instead, he shouted that he needed to “p**s”, before relieving himself in front of the crew and passengers.
A spokesperson for CityJet has confirmed the act, and a passenger who witnessed the 62-year-old star urinate added that the crew were “dumbfounded” by what happened.
The witness added, “He said he couldn’t wait, then he stood up and did it on the floor.
“We could see he had been drinking. The stewardess was dumbfounded. No one said anything. Then he sat back down and the plane returned to the parking area to be cleaned.”
It’s not clear if any further action will be taken against Gérard, who is the co-owner of a winery in Condrieu and was once convicted for drink driving in 1990.
