They may not have scored any Emmys, but the lads from Flight of the Conchords have bagged something infinitely cooler – the duo is starring in a video game. Bret ocKenzie and Jemaine Clement have revealed that they will be appearing in a forthcoming edition of the ‘Rock Band’ computer game. Speaking on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards, Bret said, “There’s going to be three songs on ‘Rock Band’. I’m serious. You’ll be able to look like the Beatles and play one of our songs.” While Bret wouldn’t confirm which three songs would appear in the game, he did confirm that the new Conchords album, titled ‘I Told You I Was Freaky’, is set for release on 26 october.
